Concerts & Events
The performance festival is a central attraction of VISI. From June 17-27, there will be two concerts at the UBC Recital Hall on most days (noon and evening), featuring performances by the distinguished VISI faculty, with some appearances by our young VISI performance participants. There will also be special outreach concerts taking place in hospitals during the day. The VISI festival offers a unique and stimulating combination of concerts and talks, rooted in the belief that great song performance is an integrated expression of heart, mind, and spirit that fosters a communion between performer and audience.

VISI Performers
VISI’s faculty is an extraordinary assembly of internationally acclaimed artists. The faculty includes expert song performers, teachers, and scholars from Canada, America, England, and Austria. Several members of the dynamic performing faculty are alumni of the University of British Columbia, musicians who have gone on to have prominent international careers. In addition to this rich roster of artists, VISI’s performance festival includes some of the top talent from Vancouver and beyond as guest artists.
